Good communication with parents is vital to providing the highest quality student experience at University of Arkansas. Since parents are essential in this equation, the U of A established the Parent Partnership Association to serve as a communication link between parents of undergraduate students and the University. For benefits beyond the general Parent Program, a Parent Partnership Association membership must be purchased. Services and programs are open to all parents and/or guardians of undergraduate students. To aid in our communication efforts, members of the Association volunteer to represent all undergraduate parents through the Parent Board. They focus on encouraging interaction between parents and the University by supporting parent and student programming.

Parent Partnership Association Mission

The Parent Partnership Association is dedicated to helping families transition into the University, encourage mutual understanding and to facilitate communication between parents, students, and the University. The Association also seeks to promote and sponsor programs and services that meet the needs of parents and students, and involve parents in the life of the University Community.

Membership

Membership of the Association shall be open to annual dues paying parents or guardians of present U of A students. The cost for joining the Association will be $60.00 per family mailing address, even if the family has more than one student enrolled at the University of Arkansas. Members shall receive all the rights and benefits of membership as determined by the Parent Board. Membership Benefits include: the Parent Program amenities that include the Student Health 101: The Parent Perspective Newsletter (Ten Issues), Student Health Newsletter (Ten Issues), a copy of the 2008-2009 Parent Handbook, and Parent listserv, in addition, you will receive Scholarship Opportunity for your student, Parent Board Involvement, ten percent off Spring and Fall Family Programs, ten percent discount on Razorback gifts at the University Bookstore, a Parent Partnership Association Car Decal and Parent card.

Membership will be for one full academic year;

Beginning August 1 and ending May 31 of the following year.
